Lion Lew is a member of the Auburn Classic Noon Lions Club. He is a past president of the club and has served on the board of directors and as a member of the golf committee multiple years.

Lew served as a Zone Chair for 2 years and as a Region Chair in 2008-2009. In 2009 Lion Lew was elected as the District’s Second Vice Governor and served as the 1st VDG for 2010-2011.

He has attended the Indiana Lions Leadership Forum in Indianapolis and the International Senior Leadership Forum in Toronto in 2008.  DG Lew served as a district coordinator for Campaign Sight First II.  In 2008 he served as the Co-Chair of the Indiana Lions State Convention in Fort Wayne. He has attended multiple State Conventions and Mid-Winter Conferences.  In 2008 his club kindly awarded him a Melvin Jones Fellowship and added to that a W P Woods Fellowship in 2011.

Lew and his wife, Donna (who is also a Lion), have been married 35 years and have been blessed with 5 children and 4 grandchildren.  Recently Lion Donna was elected to the DeKalb County Council.  The Kings attend County Line Church of God.

A resident of DeKalb County for the last 23 years, he was born in Tennessee and was raised in Fort Wayne. His hobbies include gardening, cooking and traveling.  Visiting all 50 states is one of the items on his “bucket list”. Lew’s favorite place to visit is Mount Vernon, VA., the home of our Nation’s first president. He currently is a mortgage loan office at Community State Bank in Avilla.
